Project Converter only converts project files from the 1.7 version of the IDE, which shipped with CodeWarrior 10 and CodeWarrior 11. If you have an earlier project, you must convert it to CW10 or CW11 format before using Project Converter.

To update a project to the 1.7 format, first ensure that the latest version of the IDE is not running. Then launch the 1.7 IDE and open the project.

The 1.7 IDE updates your project. You can then run the updated project through Project Converter to update that project to the newest format.

If you do not have version 1.7 of the IDE, you can find it on the CW Pro Tools CD. Look for the CW11 IDE and Prefs.sit file in the Other Metrowerks Tools folder.
