Parameters for this function are:

x

float, double or long double

value to be computed

This function computes the value of the arc tangent of the argument. See "Example of acos(), asin(), atan(), atan2() usage." for example usage.

The function atan() returns the arc tangent of the argument x in the range

[-/2, +/2] radians.
